Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Hours: Between 30 – 40 hours per week (timetable dependent), term time only.

Salary Range: £13,946 - £18,595

Contract length: 2-year fixed term contract in the first instance

The Learning Hub is a dynamic and innovative provision established to provide academic support, assessment, and pastoral care to all students.  The Learning Hub is responsible for monitoring students with Special Educational Needs and coordinating interventions to secure student progress.

We are looking for an experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant who can support a student with visual impairment. Previous experience of working with students with visual impairments is desirable, but a willingness to complete training is essential. Full training and on-going support in VI Awareness, Braille as well as the use of assistive technology will be given. The applicant will need to be confident in supporting the student across the curriculum.

The right candidate will be vibrant, energetic, and professional individual who can work well as part of a team.  They will be able to form excellent working relationships with students and staff and will place the student at the heart of their decision making.
